The Institute of St Anselm is situated in Norfolk Road and in direct view of the seafront. It is a safe haven for priests, religious and laity who need a break from busy schedules.
The bedrooms are en-suite, meals are well prepared and a common computer room is available with internet access. The community chapel is available for quiet prayer and daily Mass. Sunday Mass in the neighbouring parish is the popular choice as weekends are considered as free time for students and staff.
Guests are welcome to attend lectures with the multi-cultural community and enjoy the camaraderie at meal times, in the games room and for walks by the sea.
Supermarkets are within walking distance, otherwise there is easy access to public transport to visit scenic towns and more upmarket stores.
At only £40 per day for full board and lodging, why miss out on revitalizing your energy, adding quality of presence to your ministry and fostering healthier relationships?
In his book, Looking After Yourself, Fr Len Kofler (Director and Founder of the Institute) writes:
“Our relationship with God is the most fundamental relationship, because he created us. Stillness, silence, prayer and meditation assist us in this spiritual journey towards union with God. They calm the whole system down. Particularly in this age of stress in which we live, we need to calm down from time to time to give our organism a chance to recover.” (2010:134)
